Aurora – Silk Crepe Backed Satin

Our bleached white crepe backed satin has a sensual, soft drape that hugs the figure and is simply exquisite to wear.

Suitable for bridal, prom and evening wear this 100% silk fabric features a satin surface with a crepe reverse (as the name implies). It is a beautifully versatile cloth, suitable for a range of craft and garment projects from dresses and gowns to table runners and drapes. You can utilise both sides of the cloth for dramatic effect in any design.

Weighing approximately 82gsm and 140cm in width, this very fashionable cloth is quite rightly highly sought after and you can feel the quality with every brush of your hand, the images in this case do not do the cloth any justice it has to be seen to be believed.  

For best results, dry clean or hand wash very cool and really carefully with delicate washing detergent and without twisting.

Due to the delicate nature and expense of these silk fabrics that have been prepared bespokely for your order, for example, a ‘cut length’ specified by you, they will be subject to a 50% charge. We, therefore, advise you order a sample first to make sure you are happy with the fabric before you order the length you require.

• Please allow up to 10% shrinkage for all fabrics to be on the safe side. For all fabrics wash before making up in the same manner as would with subsequent washes (including drying methods).
• If you are in any doubt about care instructions please always test a sample first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on our screen are accurate because every screen is calibrated differently and settings are set differently.
